Good, not great

07/22/2021

As others mention, the interior styling is nice. I especially like the lighting on the doors at night. Just beautiful. My gripe is (as it was with my 2015 Acura TLX) the tech package. What were they thinking with a touchpad? I feel like I can't focus on my driving when using this. Therefore, I usually just listen to podcasts so I'm not changing stations all the time on Sirius, for example. The 2015 TLX tech package was a disaster for me (very buggy) and they really didn't make great improvements here. That said, seats are comfortable (need better lumbar support though) and it drives amazing. This car almost drives itself! I love the cruise control and how if someone cuts you off it brakes, though it can be very aggressive, so word of caution there. Still, overall a nice car and mostly on par with what you'd expect from Acura. My other small gripe is the gas mileage. This car weighs too much and gas mileage really suffers because of it. Therefore, I don't use the fun Sport mode much. In all, very solid car.

ACURA woke up!

07/05/2021

Outrageous styling, great handling, beautiful high end interior, amazing torque from the 2.0 turbo engine. Great value in comparison to over priced German cars. Home run for ACURA?

Not impressed at all

04/16/2024

First let me say this is my 5th Acura. I started with the TSX then TL then 3 TLX and I have to say the 2023 TLX A Spec is my worst choice. Exterior this car screams speed and style but interior and powerplant are a HUGE disappointment. My 2020 TLX A Spec had a strong responsive throaty 6 cyl engine. The 2023 has a turbocharged 4cyl! If I had done my research, with this change alone I would have found a different car. The 4cyl is peppy and responsive but sounds like a whiny 4cyl. Surprisingly it gets terrible gas mileage even when its on economy mode ave 21-22 city and maybe if you're lucky 26-28 hwy! My 2020 got 26-27 city and low 30's hwy not economy mode. The interior where do I start. Wireless charge pad works at best a trickle charge rate and its location is terrible. Apple car play requires your phone to be plugged into a USB to work, no bluetooth connection, a HUGE mistake especially if you're paying 45-50K for the vehicle. The finger pad control is at times non responsive and the material Acura used for the entire dash including the odd "mushroom head" dash above the steering wheel (you just have to see it) smudges and smears dust very easily making it hard to keep clean. I will say the safety features are amazing. The cabin road noise is much louder than my 2020 TLX. Overall I am disappointed with the changes Acura made since the 2020, I'm not at all impressed.
