The Subaru Tribeca was a midsize, three-row crossover SUV. It debuted in 2006 as the B9 Tribeca, but Subaru made a slight name change while launching a hastily penned restyling and dynamic re-tune in 2008. Like other Subarus, the Tribeca featured a boxer-type engine and standard all-wheel drive. A 3.6-liter flat-six was paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, and the Tribeca supplied 8.4 inches of ground clearance. Cargo space ranged from 8.3 cu-ft behind the third-row seat to 37.6 cu-ft behind the second row. With both rows folded, the Tribeca could carry 74.4 cu-ft of cargo. While the Tribeca's dynamic improvements and more conservative styling made the SUV more appealing, it was small for its segment and did not return good gas mileage (18 mpg). Subaru discontinued the Tribeca after the 2014 model year, ultimately replacing it with the Ascent.
