Toyota's Scion brand was created to appeal to younger consumers. Arguably, the tC coupe was one of the most successful of Scion's many models, offering a good blend of style, features, and value. The first-generation Scion tC coupe was available from 2005 to 2010. When the second-generation version arrived in 2011, it sported a bolder design, a new 180-hp four-cylinder engine, and a six-speed manual or automatic transmission powering the front wheels. The redesigned tC also retained a sloped hatchback body style and folding rear seats, offering up to 35.4 cubic feet of cargo space. Unlike other Scion models, which came and went, the tC remained available until Toyota decided to drop the brand. With Scion's discontinuation, production of the tC also came to a close.
