Nissan deserves credit for taking risks, and the Juke was among the most compelling of the company’s wild and unusual models. A five-door hatchback with bulging bodywork, hidden rear door handles, and a raised stance, the Nissan Juke was a small turbocharged crossover that was part coupe, part SUV, and all attitude. It debuted in 2011, with sporty Nismo and performance-tuned Nismo RS models following in 2013 and 2015, respectively. All versions of the Juke were entertaining to drive, but rear-seat room and cargo space were in short supply. In addition, the SUV did not perform well in crash tests. Nissan did changes to the Juke during its lifetime, and the spunky love-it-or-hate-it crossover came to the end of its road after the 2017 model year.
