With its quirky sense of style and emphasis on maximizing interior space while minimizing its footprint, the Nissan Cube offered plenty of personality and practicality at a low price. The Cube arrived in the U.S. market in 2009. Underneath its stubby hood, the Cube has a 122-horsepower four-cylinder engine married to a six-speed manual gearbox or a continuously variable transmission and front-wheel drive. Four people can ride comfortably, and if you fold the back seat down, the Cube's cargo space expands from 11.4 cu-ft to 58.1 cu-ft. During its six-year run in the U.S. market, the Cube received regular updates. However, its "bulldog wearing shades" styling and lack of driving dynamism made the Cube a tough sell compared with other small, urban runabouts like the Honda Fit and Kia Soul. As such, Nissan discontinued the model after 2014.
