Fiat reintroduced the 124 Spider in 2017, more than 30 years after the automaker retired its iconic roadster of the same name. Fiat produced the original 124 Spider from 1966 to 1985. However, its modern-day homage was short-lived, lasting from 2017 to 2020. Co-developed with Mazda and manufactured in Japan, the 124 Spider got a turbocharged engine and distinctive Fiat flourishes. The car was sold exclusively as a soft-top convertible, with both manual and automatic transmissions available.
